Como quadrinista no mercado francês, Lelis contribuiu para Gueules Noires e Popeye: Un Homme à La Mer, em colaboração com o renomado roteirista francês Antoine Ozanam. Ele também é autor de En Fruite! e Réparation, publicados pela prestigiada editora Les Rêveurs.
Nascido em Minas Gerais, Brasil, Lelis possui vinte e oito anos de experiência como ilustrador para jornais e agências de publicidade. Ele contribuiu para mais de cem livros e é autor de seis deles.
O trabalho de Lelis recebeu reconhecimento significativo, incluindo oito troféus HQMix. Ele também participou de diversos festivais internacionais de prestígio na França, como o Festival de Quadrinhos de Angoulême, o BD MIAM e o Festival de Saint-Malo.
