Events

Chiaroscuro Studios is a co-owner of internationally renowned events, including CCXP Comic Con Experience, one of the largest comic cons in the world, and Poc Con. Chiaroscuro Studios also excels as a co-creator and curator of highly successful exhibitions such as "Quadrinhos" (2018-2019), "Batman Experience" (2019-2023), and "DC Heroes" (2024-2025), which together have attracted over 100,000 visitors.

Ivan Costa

Ivan Costa has an extensive background in marketing and pop culture, having worked as a marketing executive for over 20 years before founding both Chiaroscuro Studios and CCXP, now one of the largest comic cons in the world. At Chiaroscuro Studios, he serves as CEO as well as curator and art director for the various projects brought by our clients. He also finds time to contribute to events like Poc Con, where he is a co-organizer, to create major pop culture exhibitions, and to develop impactful social projects such as Narrativas Periféricas (São Paulo) and Laboratório de Quadrinhos (Fortaleza), aimed at training underprivileged youth in the field of comic book creation.

Laís Afonso

A licensed architect and urban planner, Lais Afonso has found her passion in the events industry, fueled by a lifelong love of Brazilian comics. With over 15 years of extensive experience in commercial and administrative processes, she currently serves as Project Coordinator at Chiaroscuro. In this role, she applies her vast knowledge to ensure clients' visions are executed with precision and excellence.

Giovanni Spinelli

Graduating with a degree in graphic design, Giovanni Spinelli is the Head of Business Development at Chiaroscuro Studios. With a strong passion for comics and pop culture, and a wealth of experience in art direction, scriptwriting, and communications, he's responsible for managing client relationships, cultivating new partnerships, and acquiring new projects for the studio. He also leads all content, activations, and brand collaborations for Chiaroscuro's annual presence at CCXP. Additionally, he provides creative input and visual concepts for new projects, both for the company and its clients.

Beatriz Sérgio

Beatriz Sérgio is an illustrator, animator, and comic artist with a strong passion for the geek and otaku universe. She holds a degree in Animation Design from Centro Universitário Belas Artes de São Paulo and specializes in illustration, coloring, and digital design. Beatriz creates visual content to sell original comic artworks and also supports other related areas with the art market.

Nicholas Bittencourt

Nicholas Bittencourt has been the Sales Manager at Chiaroscuro Studios since 2020. With prior experience in the events industry, he works in the representation and sale of original comic art, connecting artists and collectors worldwide.

Yuri Andrey

Yuri Andrey é um jornalista, roteirista, artista e escritor com atuação em diversas frentes criativas. Ele co-roteirizou “Fujie e Mikito”, graphic novel vencedora da medalha de bronze no Prêmio Internacional do Japão de Manga e finalista do Prêmio Jabuti.
Yuri Andrey is a journalist, screenwriter, artist, and writer with a wide range of creative expertise. He co-wrote "Fujie e Mikito," a graphic novel that won the bronze medal at the Japan International Manga Award and was a finalist for the Jabuti Prize. His notable works include comic book adaptations of classics like "Animal Farm" (A Revolução dos Bichos), a curatorial role and authorship in the anthology "Crônicas da Augusta," and the book "Lendas – Os 50 Principais Personagens do Folclore Brasileiro" (Legends – The 50 Main Characters of Brazilian Folklore). Yuri also teaches fanzine workshops, is a co-organizer of POC CON, the largest LGBTQIAPN+ comics and geek culture event in the country, and was a guest artist at CCXP 2022.
